On June 7-8, 2024, a meeting was held to present the experiences gained under the Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) as part of Phase II of the Women’s Economic Empowerment in the South Caucasus project, supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by UNDP.

During the event, a review of the WEPs was presented, showcasing best corporate practices for women’s empowerment. Discussions were held on gender issues, corporate sustainability, the role of chambers of commerce in empowering women, and the experiences of WEPs signatory companies in implementing these principles.

At the end of the event, a broad exchange of views took place on lessons learned, challenges, and the role of the private sector in promoting gender equality. An award ceremony was also held for the WEPs nomination winners. FINCA Azerbaijan once again demonstrated its commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs, highlighting its efforts to improve and enhance women’s access to financial resources. As part of the Weps project, FINCA Azerbaijan won the “Leadership Commitment” award.
